Meditation
Well, for me Yoga is not about touching your toes or standing on your head. Although I can touch my toes and stand on my head and see the world from another perspective, I would never expect this from my yoga students. If they can do it, too, that’s fine, but it’s not my aim for my classes.
First of all Yoga is a Hindu spiritual discipline based on an extremely sophisticated science which focuses on bringing harmony between the body and the mind. It is an art of healthy living. The meaning of Yoga in Sanskrit (old Indian language) is „to unite“.
And this should be the aim of each yoga class: to „unite“ mind and body and to cultivate discernment, awareness, self-regulation and higher consciousness in the individual.
In ancient India Yoga was in the long beginning nothing else than sitting down in silence (meditation) and let the breathing flow. Many years later the physical aspect of Yoga Asanas (Yoga body practice) was added to the yoga culture.
My yoga classes are all individual and each class will be adjusted to your present belongings. If you need to slow down, we focus on relaxing, if you need to become awake, we aim on activating your system more.
Very important for me is that YOU set your physical and mental boundaries and give me a sign whenever something is too much or impossible for you. Yoga is meant for everyone and I love to teach all levels, ages and genders. You can start from the scratch with zero knowledge or you will be more advanced…… but again, it’s not about a sportive performance but absolutely about harmonization and balancing the mind and body and in the end you will anyway benefit from more physical strength, energy and flexibility.
I offer mostly 1:1 online classes or small groups. Duration about 60 minutes. Single sessions or packages are available.
Teaching is in English and German.
